Some people work . . . some people cruise . . . I get to do both (sometimes)

For my Chicago friends, I don’t have to explain 190 North.  For everyone else . . . 190 North is a show that is produced by the local ABC 7 in Chicago.  It is a lifestyle show, featuring restaurants, shopping and entertainment in and around Chicago.  In my opinion, the show is very well done with high production values and excellent talent.  For me it was quite an experience!  I had the opportunity to work with this crew as the DP for their show about Disney vacations.  We spent two days around all of the Disney parks and then four days on the Disney Cruise Line.  It was my first working cruise and it was also one of my most memorable cruises!  I had a great time working with all of the cast and crew of 190 North, especially Janet Davies.  She was a fantastic person to work with and wonderfully talented, both as  . . . well talent . . . and as a producer.  It was also my first time working with Jay Hatcher from Disney.  Another very talented person and all around great guy! I really can’t say enough about the experience.  I also got to meet a guy by the name of Kenny Stiver, Jr. who was working as my audio operator.  Kenny’s band “Standard of Living” will no doubt sign with a record label very soon and become huge.  I’ll still be shooting video . . . but as long as I get a cruise out of it every now and then, I don’t care!
