Honor Flight is a charity organization that honors the remaining veterans of WWII by taking them on a trip to visit their memorial in Washington D.C. Joe Dorsey and I had the privilege of tagging along on one of the flights and we decided to produce this piece. This mini documentary was shot using two Canon 7D cameras and was edited with Final Cut Pro and After Effects. Continue Reading →

Honduras

In August of 2009, Walter Lowe and I traveled to Honduras to capture video for a series of webisodes that were designed to attract tourism to this beautiful country. Although the trip was postponed at first – due to a military coup that was happening around the same time – I had such a wonderful time exploring the country. We were there for eight days and traveled across the entire country shooting at some of the most exquisite locations that I have ever seen. Continue Reading →
History’s Secret Spaces
James Coats and I have been talking about putting together a television show for several years. We have been bouncing ideas back and forth for a while now but it was this idea that really sparked some interest in both of us. History’s Secret Spaces (working title) will take you on exciting adventures inside hidden rooms and passageways, and through the mysterious wilderness of the world, all while exploring the legends surrounding well-known cathedrals, homes, caves, tunnels and wrecks. It’s an ambitious undertaking for three people, but I feel that it will be a fun adventure. Continue Reading →
The Bro Bowl: 30 Years of Tampa Concrete
The Bro Bowl
Troy Durett, Lance Robson and myself started documenting the free public skate park in Perry Harvey, Sr. Park in Tampa, FL known lovingly as as The Bro Bowl. Our initial idea was to document the impending destruction of the bowl and the efforts of the skaters and Tampa locals to help “save the bowl” from re-development. However, during the first six months of shooting we quickly realized that our documentary was shaping up to be more about the history of the bowl and the people who skate there. Continue Reading →
CT Shield Movie Theater Ad

We have a situation
CT Shield is a scenario game developed by Xtreme Paintball Xperience. It follows their tagline, Themepark for Paintball, by putting the player into a realistic environment. This is done through realistic “scenes” with hired actors. My role was to create a video that plays while the guests are “preparing” for battle. The video starts as a training video but then breaks into a message that tells the players what to do next. Continue Reading →
190 North – Disney Vacations

Some people work . . . some people cruise . . . I get to do both (sometimes)
For my Chicago friends, I don’t have to explain 190 North. For everyone else . . . 190 North is a show that is produced by the local ABC 7 in Chicago. It is a lifestyle show, featuring restaurants, shopping and entertainment in and around Chicago. In my opinion, the show is very well done with high production values and excellent talent. For me it was quite an experience! I had the opportunity to work with this crew as the DP for their show about Disney vacations. Continue Reading →
Property Ladder

Property Ladder was not my first network shoot, but it was my first network shoot as the DP in charge. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life and that was due mostly to the crew from LA – they were awesome to work with on this project. Continue Reading →
Gold’s Gym – Altamonte Springs
Flying by the seat of our pants
This spot for Gold’s Gym, in Altamonte Springs, was an example of the “video sweat-shop” that was our life at Fox 35 during the years of 2000-2002. We were cranking out spots faster than we could write them (ha! who had time to write?) Continue Reading →
Golden Empire: Enter The Buffet
The story behind Golden Empire: Enter The Buffet
Golden Empire is a commercial that was the effort of Jessica Plowden, Bob Walko and myself. The owner of the restaurant wanted to do something different and actually gave us the green light to come up with a parody like this. Continue Reading →
