Honduras

honduras

In August of 2009, Walter Lowe and I traveled to Honduras to capture video for a series of webisodes that were designed to attract tourism to this beautiful country.  Although the trip was postponed at first – due to a military coup that was happening around the same time – I had such a wonderful time exploring the country.  We were there for eight days and traveled across the entire country shooting at some of the most exquisite locations that I have ever seen. History’s Secret Spaces

James Coats and I have been talking about putting together a television show for several years.  We have been bouncing ideas back and forth for a while now but it was this idea that really sparked some interest in both of us.  History’s Secret Spaces (working title) will take you on exciting adventures inside hidden rooms and passageways, and through the mysterious wilderness of the world, all while exploring the legends surrounding well-known cathedrals, homes, caves, tunnels and wrecks.  It’s an ambitious undertaking for three people, but I feel that it will be a fun adventure. Behind The Wheel

Spin that wheel!

This project came to us through an old friend from Fox.  We were hired to produce a 30 minute special for the Wheel Of Fortune while it taped a month of shows here at Sea World in Orlando.  For this project, Walter Lowe and I split the duties of producing in half; Walter handled the production and I handled all of the post-production.  We also brought in a very good friend, Katherine Johnson, to write the show and put together the run-down. Modern Marvels – World’s Biggest 3

Modern Marvels

This production was for Modern Marvels – World’s Biggest 3.  Our segment showcased the crawler that is used by NASA to move the shuttle from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad.  For this shoot, I was the field audio operator and Dan Beckmann was the DP/camera.  This was my first Modern Marvels shoot and it was another exciting project for me because I am a HUGE fan of the History Channel and Modern Marvels. Yo Ish!

Spending the week with Ish Monroe

This was a really fun job!  I’m not much of a fisherman myself, but I really love boats and being outside in nice weather.  This was both of those things.  This was a 5 day shoot for ESPN’s “Yo Ish!” show that airs within Bass Masters on ESPN 2.  We spent all 5 days out at Disney on several of their private lakes for the shoot.  The first two days Dan Beckmann was the DP and I did audio and the last three days I was the DP.  I’m happy to say that I had the fun days of shooting this show!  The producer Jed, was an awesome guy to work with and Ish was just fantastic.  Every once in a while I get to have fun with this job . . . this was one of those times. Loki’s Backyard Adventures

loki

Loki’s backyard adventures was a concept that I developed with Joe Dorsey.  It began as an idea for me to visit unique tourist-traps that were off-the-beaten-path.  For some reason, places like that fascinate me. Continue Reading →

190 North – Disney Vacations

190north

Some people work . . . some people cruise . . . I get to do both (sometimes)

For my Chicago friends, I don’t have to explain 190 North.  For everyone else . . . 190 North is a show that is produced by the local ABC 7 in Chicago.  It is a lifestyle show, featuring restaurants, shopping and entertainment in and around Chicago.  In my opinion, the show is very well done with high production values and excellent talent.  For me it was quite an experience!  I had the opportunity to work with this crew as the DP for their show about Disney vacations.   Continue Reading →

Property Ladder

propertyladder

Property Ladder was not my first network shoot, but it was my first network shoot as the DP in charge.  It was probably one of the best experiences of my life and that was due mostly to the crew from LA – they were awesome to work with on this project. Continue Reading →

The Street

thestreetA show idea ahead of its time

The Street was the first original production that Blackburst Entertainment created.  It was the first time that the three of us put our heads together to do something entirelly for ourselves.  It was a very fun production and it really felt like we were on to something.   Continue Reading →
